Descripción
Mape-Antique FC Civile is a plastering mortar, premixed in powder, cement-free, composed of lime and Eco-Pozzolana, fine natural sands and special additives, with very low emission of volatile organic substances (EMICODE EC1 R Plus), according to a formula developed in the MAPEI R&D laboratories. Based on the EN 998-1 standard, this product is classified as GP: “General purpose mortar for interior/exterior plasters”, Category CS IV
CHARACTERISTICS
- Mape-Antique FC Civile, once mixed with water in a suitable and clean container, transforms into a breathable plastering mortar with a trowelled finish, resistant to salts, of plastic consistency, easy to work with a metal trowel, whether on surfaces vertical or on ceilings.
- The mortars made with Mape-Antique FC Civile have very similar characteristics, in terms of mechanical resistance, elastic modulus and permeability to water vapor, with respect to those of plastering mortars based on lime, lime and pozzolana or hydraulic lime, originally used in the construction of buildings.
- Compared to these mortars, Mape-Antique FC Civile has properties that make it resistant to different physical-chemical attacks, such as the presence of soluble salts, freeze-thaw cycles, and the washing action of water. rain, the alkali-aggregate reaction and the appearance of plastic shrinkage cracks.
- The technical data table (in the Application Data and Final Performance sections) contains some characteristic values relating to the main properties of Mape-Antique FC Civile, both in fresh and hardened states.
TO IMPORTANT NOTICES
- The use of Mape-Antique FC Civile is not recommended either on structures affected by a strong presence of capillary rise humidity, or with a significant concentration of soluble salts (it is preferable in this case to use Mape-Antique FC Grosso or products from the Silexcolor lines or Silancolor).
- Mape-Antique FC Civile should be applied with a maximum thickness of 2 mm per layer.
- Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile as mortar to be poured into a formwork (in this case use Mape-Antique LC, mixed with aggregates of adequate granulometry).
- Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile as a consolidating grout to be injected into structures (in this case use Mape-Antique I or Mape-Antique F21).
- Do not use Mape-Antique FC Civile for plastering.
- Do not add additives, cement or other binders (lime and gypsum) to Mape-Antique FC Civile
- Do not use low thickness colored paints or coatings that could significantly modify the breathability of Mape-Antique FC Civile and, therefore, prevent the evaporation of moisture present on the wall. In this case, use products from the Silexcolor or Silancolor lines, lime-based paints, or water-repellent treatments such as Antipluviol S or Antipluviol W.
- Do not apply Mape-Antique FC Civile at temperatures below +5 °C.
FIELDS OF APPLICATION
- Troweled plastering of macroporous dehumidifying plasters, for the rehabilitation of walls degraded by capillary rise humidity and soluble salts, in existing buildings, including those of historical-artistic value
- Troweled plastering of breathable and “structural” base plasters
- Troweled plastering of lime-based plasters, degraded by the action of atmospheric agents and environmental conditions, as well as by the passage of time
Some application examples
- Troweled finish of coarser grain dehumidifying and macroporous plasters, indoors and/or outdoors, in the rehabilitation of masonry walls degraded by the presence of rising capillary humidity and soluble salts.
- Troweled finish of coarser grain dehumidifying plasters, made on masonry walls made in lagoon areas or near the sea.
- Troweled finish of new dehumidifying plasters or those already existing based on lime, on stone, brick, tufo and mixed walls, even in constructions classified as having historical-artistic value by the Administration.
- Floated finishing of breathable and “structural” lime-based base plasters, with a coarser grain
