Descripción

Planicrete is an aqueous dispersion of a special synthetic elastomer, completely resistant to alkaline saponification. It appears as a very fluid greenish-white latex that, added to mixtures of Portland cement and aggregates, improves its plasticity, water retention and general workability.

CHARACTERISTICS

Cementitious mixtures modified with Planicrete, once set and hardened, offer better adhesion to all surfaces, better resistance to bending and abrasion, greater impermeability and resistance to freeze/thaw cycles, better flexibility, and better chemical resistance to dilute acids and alkalis, saline solutions and oils.

IMPORTANT NOTICES

  • Do not use pure Planicrete as a primer or bonding bridge: it must always be mixed with Portland cement or, if required, with Mapecem, MapecemPronto, Topcem or Topcem Pronto
  • Do not use mixtures with Planicrete at temperatures below +5 °C or above +40 °C
  • In very hot or windy environmental conditions, after application, adequately protect surfaces from drying too quickly.
  • The use of Planicrete in mortars and concrete does not exempt from rigorous compliance with all valid standards for the proper execution of the work and, in particular, from the use of aggregates with granulometry appropriate to the thickness to be applied.
  • If the mixture of Planicrete is done in a concrete mixer, never mix for more than 3 minutes, to avoid excessive formation of entrapped air.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION

  • As an additive to improve the mechanical and adhesion characteristics of cement-based mortars in screeds, renders, thin plasters, etc.
  • As an additive for highly adherent cementitious grouts, used as bonding bridges.

Some application examples

  • High resistance cementitious screeds, both indoors and outdoors
  • Cementitious mortars for laying ceramic tiles, according to the traditional system
  • High resistance cementitious plasters, both indoors and outdoors
  • Adhesive cementitious grouts for bonded screeds (including Mapecem, Mapecem Pronto, Topcem and Topcem Pronto)
  • Making grip layers for plasters
  • Cementitious-based mortars for filling holes, reconstruction of deteriorated areas and surface finishing of concrete poured on site and prefabricated
  • Cementitious-based mortars for finishing surfaces subject to strong abrasion (industrial floors, ramps, canals, etc.)

CONSUMPTION

  • Plaster up to 10 mm: 150 g/m²/mm thickness
  • Screed from 10 to 35 mm: 50 g/m²/mm thickness
  • Floating screed >35 mm: 30 g/m²/mm thickness
  • Plaster: 70 g/m²/mm thickness
  • Plaster with Nivoplan: 70 g/m²/mm thickness
  • Gripping layer for plasters: 200-250 g/m²/mm
  • Filling mortar: 100 kg/m³
  • Adhesion grout: 200-300 g/m²

COLOR

  • White-greenish
