SikaWall 08 W Fixer is a one-component, water-based acrylic primer, designed to fix and seal porous surface backgrounds for subsequent painting.
CHARACTERISTICS
- Avoid dragging dust when painting
- Facilitates the adhesion of subsequent painting
- Does not contain solvents
- Improves the performance of subsequent paints
- Does not hinder the breathability of the facing
APPLICATIONS
As a fixing layer for the following uses:
- Cohere the treated surfaces to prevent paint peeling
- Cover porosity to subsequently obtain homogeneous paint coatings
- Improve the adhesion of paints on porous surfaces.
Some surfaces on which it can be applied are:
- cement plasters
- Plaster and laminates
- Temper
- Lime and plaster
SPECIFICATIONS
- Color: Off-white
- Presentation: 2 liter bottles
- Chemical Base: Acrylic resin in aqueous dispersion.
- Density ~ 1.01 gr/cm3
Application Details
- Consumption ~ 100 g/m2, depending on the porosity of the support.
- Support Quality: The support must be dry, healthy, and have no loose parts or poorly adhered particles. Previous coatings must be removed. For heavily degraded surfaces, it is recommended to test first.
Application Instructions
- Mixed: The product is presented ready for use. It is recommended to homogenize the mixture by shaking the container before application.
- Mixing Time: Approx. 1 minute
- Application Method / Tools: The product once mixed can be applied by brush or roller.
- Tool Cleaning: Clean tools and application equipment immediately after use with water. The hardened product can only be removed by mechanical means.

It can only be painted with aqueous dispersion paints.
Application Notes/Limitations
- On very absorbent supports, more than one layer may be needed.
- In environments with high relative humidity, drying times may increase.
- Do not apply on surfaces with stains.
- In areas where it will not be covered, such as door frames, pre-fences, etc. They must be protected from contact with the product. In case of spills, clean them immediately with a damp cloth.
